During the summer JCPAA organizes an extensive and affordable educational program for Milwaukee-area youth. Each day of Summer Art Camp is dedicated to different forms of art in order for the kids to get the utmost enjoyment out of the program. Mentoring is also a part of JCPAA’s summer programming.
Students learn the fundamentals and techniques in the four program areas of dance, theater, visual arts, and music. JCPAA broadens the knowledge of our students by introducing them to the world of the arts and teaching the fundamentals and techniques. Youth and young adults ages 4-17 receive professional arts instruction, enjoy performances and exhibits, receive tutoring, mentoring and coaching to achieve academically and pursue their interest in the arts.
JCPAA’s Fine & Performing Arts, Inc. partners with pre-schools, elementary schools and community based organizations to either augment or supply their art education programs. JCPAA offers well-organized classes and teaching that includes technique-based, high quality arts curriculum in a positive environment.
JCPAA is located in the heart of Milwaukee’s downtown performing arts community, on the lower level of the historic Plankinton Building at 161 W. Wisconsin Avenue in The Shops of Grand Avenue Mall.
